The DacMagic 100 is set to driverless USB Audio Class 1.0 by default, supporting digital audio up to 24-bit/96kHz. It is possible to setup the DacMagic 100 in USB Audio Class 2.0, and this will support digital audio up to 24-bit/192kHz.
To change USB class, press & hold the Source button on the front panel of the unit whilst bringing the unit out of standby. One of the two S/P DIF source LEDs will light up at this point, 1 representing USB 1.0, and 2 representing USB 2.0.
For use with USB Audio Class 2.0, your computer will require a USB 2.0 port.
On Windows PCs the Cambridge Audio USB Audio 2.0 Driver will need to be installed. More information regarding this can be found here:
