We have received some reports that some customers have recently been experiencing issues receiving certain radio stations on some of our older streaming devices, such as NP30, Minx Xi, and Stream Magic 6 v1.
BBC Radio 6 is one known station that has been affected, and certain other streams have also been affected. It is indicated that the units are receiving 'Icecast' streams, with garbled audio.
This is something that our engineers are currently looking into with a view to having a fix as soon as possible, potentially via a new firmware update that will resolve this issue.
We do apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause in the meantime. As soon as we have more information on this we will update this article.
Update on 8th Feb 2021.
Our engineers have determined that BBC and other certain other stations must've changed the stream type that they transmit, resulting in some devices not being able to accurately decode them, resulting in it the garbled audio. We are still investigating a fix for this issue and hope to have more information soon.
