When playing a Blu-Ray soundtrack, why is the maximum sampling rate 48kHz over the coaxial output when it should be 192kHz?

The 650BD can pass a 24-Bit/192kHz signal from the coaxial output however all Blu-ray discs can only 'unpack' high resolution audio video via HDMI outputs.

As this is the case, the coaxial outputs are restricted to 48kHz output by the Blu-ray disc.

This is not specific to Cambridge Audio products as this applies to all Blu-ray players.

Please Note: Content streamed over a network with higher sample-rates will work.
