If you already have an older USB Audio driver installed and working with your Cambridge product then you do not always need to update to a newer version. The newer versions add compatibility with later Windows operating systems but do not add extra functionality or change audio performance.

[1] Earlier Cambridge Audio products (manufacturer before 2014) are only compatible with driver v1.43 and require a firmware update to work with newer versions. Instructions can be found in the driver download to check if you are already running the correct version of firmware and how to update if necessary.
[2] Windows 7 needs Microsoft Security Advisory KB3033929 update installed to work on this driver version.
