My network firewall is blocking my 640H from accessing iRadio and CD Identification. How do I solve this issue?

Most routers in a standard setup will allow a 640H to connect both to radio stations and FreeDB, since the ports and protocols the 640H uses are standard as well.

In case a user needs to specifically open ports on a router for the 640H, the ones to look for are:

- TCP port 80 (http), for connecting to radio stations and FreeDB

- TCP port 1755 (mmst), for connecting to some radio stations

- TCP port 53 (dns), used for domain name lookups by iRadio and FreeDB

A note on iRadio; it is ultimately up to the radio broadcaster to decide which port to broadcast from, but using different port numbers than those above is considered bad practice.
