Why won't SACD's play?

SACD was developed jointly by Sony and Philips Electronics in 1999. One of the restrictions put in place by these companies prevented playback of some digital signals through either optical or coaxial outputs.

This means when playing an SACD via our disc players, you must use either analogue (7.1 channel audio out/Stereo audio out) or HDMI outputs to your AVR.

Our products support DSD and PCM digital output from SACD over HDMI.
