Can I use my Cambridge Audio AV Receiver with four ohm speakers?

The answer to this is dependent on the speakers that you are choosing to connect. The latest AV receivers are able to handle 4 ohm speakers provided that the sensitivity of the speakers is not too low. This means that a design with a sensitivity of 87dB or above should be fine but electrostatic and electroplanar designs with very low sensitivity are not encouraged.
