Can I use an SACD player with my Cambridge Audio DAC?

Any disc player with an optical or coaxial output can be connected to the digital inputs of a suitable Cambridge Audio product/DAC.

However, there is no digital output (other than HDMI) from SACD. This is because the standard for SACD includes a copy protection system that will prevent the SACD layer of the disc (encoded in a format called DSD) being sent over optical or coaxial to a DAC.
